What FBFKids does to make this site safe
WE review each morning all content that has been inserted into the site and will remove any (if found)  that does not adhere to our content suitability rules.
We review each morning all messages and investigate any that we find that may break site rules or safety rules. We will delete anything we find questionable. We cannot bring back or delete emails that are sent off site, but we will warn a child if we see them engaging in questionable safety practices (i.e. sending someone their phone number or off site contact information). This is for there benefit.
We monitor The chat room (the meeting room) via our site monitor (he is human, please don't call him names), and have a special Chat room report form.
We do not monitor private chat rooms for privacy reasons. However We log and record everything that has been said, and between whom, in each private conversation, and will review these records if there appears to be any problem at all.

Please Note FKKids Monitor the site 24/7 We do not monitor any paticular child. It is up to you as a Parent or Gardian to monitor your own child.

Parents remember that under your child's personal setting is the ability to have all contacts, friend requests, comments, and messages, posted to your child  sent to your e-mail address (the e-mail address on record) so you can review your child's interactions on the site.(this is the default setting). We suggest you take advantage of this ability and review your child's use of the site. Should you change this e-mail address it will have to be re-validated or you will be locked out of the site(check your spam or junk folders) inform your mail account that e-mails from FBFKIDS.com is safe.

Your child's Profile, Blogs, Groups, and photos, and content
Under nearly everything your child enters, uploads or inputs into the site is an access button, This button gives the access rights on who may view the content  There Are 3 settings.

Report Buttons

The Site report button

On the left hand side of every page is the "report this" button.

Use this button if you come across any thing that concerns you regarding questionable content or messages or inappropriate behaviour. This report button should be used on the page where you concerns originate from, A report of the page will then be sent immediately to the FBFKids staff. You may or may not get a response from a report However keep in mind every single report is investigated by the FBFKids staff.

The FBI

On the bottom of every page is a direct link to the FBI Kids division. Members from North America can utilise this link to gain further information on their concerns

An excerpt from the FBI http://www.fbi.gov/fbikids.htm

There are some very important things that you need to keep in mind when you're on your computer at home or at school.
  • First, remember never to give out personal information such as your name, home address, school name, or telephone number in a chat room or on bulletin boards. Also, never send a picture of yourself to someone you chat with on the computer without your parent's permission.

  • Never write to someone who has made you feel uncomfortable or scared.

  • Do not meet someone or have them visit you without the permission of your parents.

  • Tell your parents right away if you read anything on the Internet that makes you feel uncomfortable.

  • Remember that people online may not be who they say they are. Someone who says that "she" is a "12-year-old girl" could really be an older man.

CEOP UK POLICE

Members from the UK can utilise the CEOP report button to report their concerns directly to their local police department.

There is plenty of advice from the CEOP that is not only relevant to this site but to the whole Internet at large

The CEOP is probably the most sophisticated online child protection agency in the world not only is their straight forward advise, clear instructions, but a very comprehensive report system.

Members from Europe could also try utilising this service.
